Discovery time.
Yesterday Room7 and Room9 joined together for Discovery time to participate in a variety of activities depicting Australian life. While the children were making their objects, they were to be thinking about our Values that we have been discussing in class. The teachers were looking for examples of Team work, Relating to others and Helping each other.
the children were absolutely absorbed in all of the activities which included making a vegemite (not NZ. marmite)sandwich with lettuce from our vegetable garden,a boomerang and a didgeridoo decorated with Aborigine designs and a snake made from air-drying clay.
The results are all displayed in our room,so we would love you to pop in and have a look.

Stu Duval - The Storyteller.
Stu is asking the children to tell him a letter of the alphabet so he can make a cartoon of that letter.
Here is Room 7 with Stu Duval and the beautiful picture that Stu quickly sketched while we all watched.
