Co-operation

This is called co -operation last thing on a Friday afternoon.  Matthew, Tilly and Crystal working beautifully together to solve the problem of how to create their masterpiece.

Geometry Shapes

We have been learning about shapes.

I have used a triangle for a nose.

I have addd lovely long eyelashes.

I have added circles for my eyes.

We are so pleased to be at school now and we are really great workers.  We have just read the story called The Runaway Whale and these are are pictures to retell the story.

Room 8 is just getting up and underway and has had a brilliant start to its first week of school.  There is only a couple of us in here at this stage, but more learners are coming.

Here are your gorgeous children ready to go on stage before their performance of Heigh-Ho.   The whole Junior department looked absolutely stunning dressed as Mickey Mouse.

A big thank you to all our parents who came and  supported your child at the tabloid sports today.  It was lovely to see the brilliant behavior of all the Pahoia children in a different setting and mixed with all the other local schools.

Dear Parents,

Yesterday down at Western Ave.  I was so proud of all the children in Room 7.  Their behaviour  was absolutely spot on.  In class today we did a reflection about how they felt when they got to the sports field  and saw how many people were going to be watching them.  The highlight of the day was pulling on the rope for the Tug of War.  The next favourite  activity was playing with the parachute.  We ended our reflection with how we felt at the end of the day and the resulting comments were that they felt tired but very pleased with themselves that they had attempted all the different activities.  Thank you to all the parents who were able to give support to our class.  Well done to the parents who were demonstrating their prowess at the high jump stand.

Term 4 2012.

Dear Parents,

This term we are focusing on the Arts - drama, music and movement.
Later on this term there will be a showcase evening when you will be able to come and see what we have been learning.  The Junior Department are studying the different eras from Walt Disney. The song that we will be singing is Heigh-ho from Snow White and I have put a you-tube link for the children to practice at home.   Happy singing.

On Friday afternoon we made our sand saucers and a fruit /vegie animal or person. We had lots of fun making gorgeous designs with our flowers and leaves and we hope you enjoy looking at them.  Some of our lovely parents came to school just to lend a helping hand when it was needed, so we would like to say a big thank you to them.
